When you create an account, we collect the email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text), and Etsy order number you provide. We also automatically log basic activity such as which patterns you view or download and the timestamp/IP address of each request, so we can maintain your account and troubleshoot access issues.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To create and secure your account, and let you log in.
• To verify your Etsy purchase and grant access to the pattern library.
• To send account-related emails, such as password reset links.
• To understand which patterns are popular, so we know what to make more of.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt hashing and are never stored or visible in plain text, including to us. Data is stored in a password-protected database. As with any online service, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

4. Your Rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or request that your account and associated data be deleted, by contacting us at hello@stitchnest.test. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie strictly to keep you logged in. This cookie does not track you across other websites and is removed when you log out or when your session expires.
